Amsted Industries established Griffin Pipe in 1959 as a division of Griffin Wheel Company, the nation's largest producer of railroad freight car wheels. In 1961, Griffin Pipe Products Company was formed as a separate entity.

Today, Griffin Pipe is an independent operating division of Amsted Industries, Inc., a family of companies consisting of approximately 10,000 employees worldwide serving the transportation, construction and general industrial markets.

Griffin Pipe manufactures ductile iron pressure pipe for potable water transmission and wastewater collection. We provide numerous specialty restrained joint products, fittings and Protecto 401™ epoxy lining for corrosive environments.
